Study Question: Why are the specific sins mentioned in these verses so dangerous for the child of God? __________________________________________________________________
Verse 25 The lie point directly to the root of the problem, which is found in the devil who is the father of all lies. It is possible that this tool can be used to capture and enslave the user. Can a little lie be that bad? _______________________________________________________
Truth- is required as the foundation for the best and most genuine relationships. Remember we are members of the same body; therefore honesty will be the best platform from which we can build trust and mutual fellowship in love.

Anger is birthed from an emotion that _____________________________________________
How we respond to this emotion will determine if we sin. Because we have Jesus, we do not have to yield to the feeling produced by this emotion. _________________________________

Verse 28 Taking things that do not belong to you is wrong. If we are to put on Christ, we must ask Christ to help us put off stealing. Are there any thieves among us? _______________

According to the word, we must change direction as the Holy Spirit moves us. 1-Cor. 4:12 and 1-Thes. 4:11 Who is responsible for helping those in need? ________________________
Verse 29 Corrupt= useless, putrid, obscene, malicious, slander gossip.
How we speak matters. Our tongue can build up or it can tear down.

Verse 30 Grieve= to cause to suffer. Do not cause the Holy Spirit to suffer, by way of our tongue or our poor choice of communication skills. What is clear in this case?

Put away! We need help from Christ in this area, to place these things at the foot of the Cross.
Verse 32 Be= become.

As God for Christ’s sake __________________________________________
We are not perfect just forgiven! Anyone who has truly been forgiven by Christ, knows and understands the value, worth and comfort that is associated with this gift we have as a result of Christ death, burial and resurrection. All Christ asks is that we do the same for someone else! Forgive someone; especially if they do not deserve it!!!
Read Ephesians 5:1-7 and answer this question: Why is Christ being referred to as a sweet smelling savour?
